The perfect self catering holiday cottage

Relax and enjoy a complimentary bottle of wine in front of a log fire in the comfortable oak-beamed sitting room, which includes electric central heating, flat screen TV/DVD player, hard disc digital recorder, CD player, Wi-fi, antique furniture plus wood burning stove. The sitting room has beautiful views of the cottage garden and Ribble Valley.

Well equipped kitchen plus garden and terrace for guests’ use

Double doors lead from the dining area to a compact but well equipped kitchen with electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and iron. We think there's everything you'll need if you decide to exercise your culinary skills in true self catering style. You are also welcome to use the lovely back garden which includes a terraced area with table and chairs for you to enjoy al fresco dining. Major supermarkets are 4 miles away in the market town of Clitheroe.

Eating Out - plenty of choice locally

Should you want to eat out, Alden Cottage is only a short drive away from many excellent eating establishments. These range from local pubs serving mouth watering homemade specialities, fine dining restaurants for a special occasion to a number of 'gastropubs' serving some of Lancashire's best local produce.

After a hard day's sightseeing in the beautiful Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland enjoy a relaxing Biojet™ whirlpool bath. The en-suite bathroom comes equipped with Biojet™ spa bath, over-bath power shower, bidet, heated towel rail and airing cupboard.

Oak-beamed double bedroom with stunning view

A comfy night’s sleep is assured in the romantic en-suite double bedroom which has exposed oak beams, central heating, electric blanket, hairdryer, radio/alarm and tea/coffee making facilities. In the morning, wake up to the stunning views across the cottage garden and valley beyond.

Price includes...

  • All electricity and lighting, central heating (via Economy 7).
  • Towels and tea towels.
  • Bed linen with duvet*.
  • A Welcome Pack of provisions on arrival which includes bottle of wine, bread, milk, cheese, cereal, orange juice and sample toiletries.
  • A complimentary basket of logs (extra logs may be purchased from the main house).

*If you would prefer the bed to be made with sheets and blankets instead of a duvet, please let us know when you book and we will be happy to arrange this.
