Changes to Alden Cottage Self-Catering Operating Procedures during the Covid-19 Crisis

For the duration of the Covid-19 Crisis we will be complying with all Government Guidelines at Alden Cottage Self-Catering.

We continue to conduct our own Covid-19 Risk Assessments and constantly review our operating procedures and make adjustments according to the situation.

  • Alden Cottage Self-Catering is operating with limited availability in order for the accommodation to remain unoccupied for at least 3 nights between guest bookings.
  • Our usual rigorous cleaning regime has been further enhanced by sanitising surfaces with particular attention being given to frequently used touch points.
  • Guests are requested to use the hand sanitizer provided each time they enter the property.
  • We are operating a contactless check-in/check-out system and observing social distancing.
  • Should guests have any non-urgent queries or problems during their stay, we will endeavour to assist by phone without entering the property. In the event that we have to enter the property, we will wear PPE and attempt to rectify the matter while the guest is out.
  • Additional cleaning products including liquid soaps, antibacterial and antiviral fluids, disinfectant and disposable gloves are available for the use of guests, if so required.
  • In the event that the Government forces us to close due to Covid-19 issues, any monies received will be refunded on request.
  • Whilst it is no longer legally required, if you or any of your party experience any symptoms of Covid-19 at the time of your stay, you are recommended to stay at home and self-isolate.
  • We recommend you take out travel insurance that provides Covid-19 cover.
